Do you talk to God, grandpa?

Arhan is is busy looking for something in the fridge.

“What are you looking for?” Viji Sridhar asks.

“I am Krishna, trying to steal some butter.”

Pratyush ready to go out shopping.  Just showed his picture to him as soon as I clicked it. His response “How many likes?

Early morning conversation with Pratyush.

“What will happen if I had a gulab jamun in the place of my heart?”

“You will eat yourself, ShreeThatha ”

Pratyush walks into our Pooja room this morning. He sits in one corner and watching me getting ready for my pooja.

“ShreeThatha do you talk to God?”

Taken aback by the question, I ask  “Why do you ask Pratyush?”

He points to an old Nokia phone lying around and asks “Why do you have that phone here?”

Pratyush to me  “When you are working I will guard you from the demons with my bow and arrow”

“Thank you Pratyush. What happens if there are demons in my mind?”

“Oh ask your doctor to fix a chip on your forehead and I will shoot at it with an arrow. The demons will vanish. ”

It is late in the night and Arhan is still wide awake.
“What do we do Shree Thatha?”
“How about disturbing Ammamma?”
“That is an option. What else can we do?”
“Disturb AMMA.”
“That is not an option, Shree Thatha!”

“Ones upon a time there lived a grandfather and his grandson there names were shreethatha and arhan. they loved appelpaeda. they loved each other. They doo notey things every day. They are lots of fun to play with.so remember if you see them ask if they want to play with you.” – a little story by arhan

Thank you for sharing this with us, Sridhar. I have been following your FB posts as well. Your grandsons are so innocent and say the wittiest things. They seem to be a live demo of all the things your blog posts speak about – encouraging creativity, communication, independent thinking in children, etc. And the result is here for all to see!
