Putting Pen to Paper

Talking through your ideas and putting them down are two different things. Make writing fun and encourage your kids as much as possible and it will surely work.

Lovely one!!! I so truly agree that writing is important…. My kids are showing interest as of now, but I dont know what we will do when the Dubai schools encourage laptop and iPad usage.

By the way, one thing that my kids are hooked to…. Doodle Pro which is a magnetic slate attached to an iron edged pen. They draw, sketch, write, and save paper, storage and space in the house…. And when technology goes viral, stylus could be the only way!!!

Nice ideas to encourage kids to write.

I remember my daughter did not learn to write till the age of 6 in the Montessori system and when she did start writing it did not look anywhere close to the alphabets. I called her teacher in alarm and she was calm and mentioned wait a few days …and within a week or so she was writing — it is so important to make children put pen to paper at the right age .. wish schools would stop burdening children with writing at a very young age as it really takes joy out of writing!
