Known as the Madras Museum, the museum is the second oldest museum in India. It is particularly rich in archaeological and numismatic collections. It has the largest collection of Roman antiquities outside Europe. Many of the buildings within the Museum campus are over 100 years old.

Guindy Snake Park and Children’s Park
At the snake park, one can see King Cobra, pythons, vipers and other reptiles. There is a children’s park and play area at the northeast corner of the complex.
Time: Snake Park is from 9 am to 5.30 pm Children’s Park is from 9 am to 6 pm (Closed on Tuesdays)
Semmozhi Poonga is a botanical garden in Chennai set up by the horticulture department of the Government of Tamil Nadu. The garden houses some exotic flora and rare plant species, medicinal and aromatic herbs.

The Madras Crocodile Bank Trust and Centre for Herpetology is one of the largest reptile zoos in the world and one of the oldest non government environmental organisations in Asia.

Fort St. George Museum
