What Santa Claus Teaches Us

Then my thoughts wandered to what the kiddo had told me about being generous and staying positive. Yes, Santa Claus is so generous with his gifts – gifts of time, his presence, his laughter and everything else. He has gifts for everyone – be it young or old. And he is always smiling and laughing no matter how cold it is outside, riding on his reindeer sleigh delivering gifts for everyone, never stopping even for a moment till the entire world is covered.

Yes, Christmas, its spirit, and Santa Claus teach us and our kids a lot, which in today’s world is being lost in cut-throat competition and one-upmanship. Interestingly I have also seen that my kiddo starts behaving well, that is, he becomes obedient, sits down for studying on his own and don’t waste his time in watching TV, closer to Christmas. After all, Santa Claus leaves gifts only for those children who are well-mannered and who obey their parents.

I wish I could always make him behave so well. Till then, enjoy the spirit of Christmas and Have a Happy New Year!

Indeed! One more thing that I always tell my daughter…. something that Christmas, rather Lord Jesus teaches us… to forgive and forget. Forgive the person who’s caused you harm and forget about it!!
